Are you too busy with the daily grind of life to think about what you really want? Maybe once in a while you wish things were different, but you’ve never really gone beyond wishing. You wish you could be an author, but you’re too busy with other things.

Stop Wishing – Start Dreaming

Beyond the wishing lies dreaming – really giving some thought to what you want. Dreaming is the beginning of a new reality. Dreaming takes a little more time than wishing. Wishing is a passing thought which is over in an instant, while dreaming is focusing on that thought and seeing things the way you would like them to be.

In order to get from where you are to where you want to be, you need a plan. Dreaming is the beginning of that plan. You can dream about the end results you hope to achieve as an author, such as a certain number of copies sold, a certain amount of money in the bank, and a better lifestyle. Then, once you have decided what you want, you need to create a plan to get there. But there is one other thing you must have to make it work in order to turn your dreams into reality. You must have a deadline.

How To Turn Your Dreams Into Reality

Without a deadline your dreams will always be dreams. It’s easy to dream, and you can plan for eternity and still never reach your goals. At some point the plan needs to go into action. There needs to be accountability for implementing the plan. And that is what a deadline does – it makes you accountable for working the plan you have created from your dreams.

Your dreams will become reality when you add a deadline to them. Of course, some dreams are the stuff of fantasy and will always be dreams, but the ones that you truly desire, the ones that are possible even if they seem a little far fetched, will be achieved with a deadline.

So, take the time to dream and give thought to what you really want. Then, create the plan to get you there and give it a deadline. When you do, you’ll find that your dreams really do come true!
