Often times, the energy blockage that prevents us from progressing in our lives is buried in deep layers, far away from our conscious mind. All we sense is that, although filled with desire and inspiration, we are blocked from taking the next step. This is when a card reading can come to the rescue and shed light on the blockage that needs to be faced, accepted and finally booted out.
Melissa is itching with desire to put together a home-based business she has been dreaming about for ages. The idea is solid, the costs are low, the venue is ideal, the demand would be great, yet she is stalling; she is unable to build the bridge between her plans and their practical application. Months are going by, and Melissa is withering away in her drab job feeling unrealized instead of grabbing the bull by the horns and starting to implement her plans. As the business could start out on a part-time basis, her financial security gained from her full-time job would not be threatened. So, what is the core of her problem?
I drew three cards to see the energies around this issue: Jealousy, Merriment and Constancy gave us an interesting message.
Jealousy speaks of an unhealthy situation that feeds low self-esteem. Look at the card: there are three people there caught in a painful love triangle. The one lurking behind the bushes looking onto his lover is Melissa: feeling insecure, unwanted, and marginalized, she is in a painful situation. Yet she is still there, stuck in masochistic energies and burdened by self-inflicted pain. She is holding on to outdated ideas and emotions that no longer work in the present.
When I ask her about her relationship, Melissa becomes teary-eyed. She has been going out with a commitment-phobe for years, and the fear of losing him drains her completely. All her energies are going into holding onto him.
Implementing a new business plan takes creativity, commitment, structuring and enthusiasm. How can Melissa excel in these if she is living emotionally hand to mouth? She has to expend all her energy just to stay emotionally afloat, and in the end, she has none left to develop other aspects of her life. She is not lazy; rather, she does not have the solid emotional foundation that she needs in order to focus on her projects and dreams.
In light of this, some would say there is nothing wrong with her; it is the man (the Vampire from hereafter) who is the bastard. Although it is true, I would put the responsibility onto her: she is the one with the power to invite or boot out any vampire that drains her. She is not his victim; she is the victim of her own weakness. She cannot change others, she can only change her own approach and all that sort of thing, but enough with the cliches.
It stands to reason then that Melissa should get rid of Vampire as he is the energy blockage who blocks her energies by drinking them like Bloody Caesars. Blockage is not really good word here then, because in the end, when all the Melissa Caesars are drunk, there is nothing left to create a blockage with. But you got the picture: Vampire blocks Melissa from greater heights by treating her like Bloody Caesars. He sucks the juice out of that girl.
Now, as to the next cards: things are looking up. Melissa’s business idea is supported by higher powers (Constancy) and has great potential to be successful (Merriment). In fact, her idea is meant to be successful (Constancy, Merriment). This leads me to believe that Vampire is easily outbootable as Melissa has great success and happiness in store for her.
Now the only thing left is for Melissa to understand that she is stronger than Vampire. Chasing him away is the first step to her business success. Throwing the fangs and the cape after him is the second. Replenishing her energy supply is the third, and the rest will follow. Always dig deep to find the vermin.
