Just yesterday I gave a wonderful reading to Cindy. The cards were clear, my words flowed easily, our horizons opened, questions were answered. Although I was the reader, addressing Cindy’s problems felt cathartic to me also because of the exchange of energy we had between us, and between us and the cards. It was the perfect love triangle.
I felt great after the reading knowing that she had really received the help she needed. But there was something extra here, a certain Je ne sais quoi that got me thinking. Why did I feel so happy after this reading? Why did I feel that the reading had a therapeutic effect on me? All my readings end well and give my clients great satisfaction, but rarely do I feel as contended and serene as I did after this one.
Then suddenly I realized: the most important ingredient here was my client. Cindy’s openness to receiving the cards’ messages was the key. She was open and ready for any answer that surfaced. She let me dig deep into her life and did not hold up barriers and defences against the unpleasant feelings some messages provoked. She was ready to target deep-seated problems that have blocked her from living the life she so desires. She had no fear, and her openness allowed me to explore without barriers.
While I was reading for her, I realized that many of her dilemmas were similar to my own life experiences, and by healing her issues with unbridled honesty, I was also healing mine. In fact, I often say: heal your clients while you heal yourself.
Now I know that that certain Je ne sais quoi is the perfect love triangle between my client, me and my cards. When that love triangle is present, the readings are wonderfully cathartic, therapeutic and inspiring for all involved. Cherish your powerful readings! The perfect love triangle heals you more than you know.
