Though scientists question the validity of claims about psychic powers, popular wisdom tells us that psychic abilities are real. People familiar with the subject argue that everyone has psychic abilities but that we are taught to suppress and ignore them out of cultural fear and bias. Many people want to fight that repression and develop their psychic abilities.

Psychic development takes time and effort, but it produces rewards to improve your life and your health, both physical and emotional. Psychic powers aren’t necessarily being able to predict the future or see events in a person’s past. One last caution. The temptation to use psychic abilities for profit or to manipulate others is a road to disaster. To have successful psychic development in your life, your goal must be to strengthen your spirit, to grow as a human being, and to practice inner peace. By detaching emotionally, you lose selfish motives. If you have a motive or goal in your psychic development other than spiritual growth, you are on the wrong path.
